Experienced Operators:

Individuals who have in the past completed an operator internal or external course. This is known as a Experienced Worker Test.  NPORS say someone operating a machine every day for at least 6 months is probably more experienced than an operator who has had training but only operates once a year, Top Operator Training considers at least 1 year operating experience to do the experienced operators test.

Novice Operators:

Persons with no real operator experience or previous training on the equipment which needs to be used. They will need to complete a full course which will provide theory and practical knowledge. All courses also include all relevant Health And Safety Legislation.
